Rip Roaring Adventures is gearing up for an incredible Labor Day weekend, and we’ve got something truly special in store! Partnering with Rafting in the Smokies, we’re coming together to honor those who have served our country. This weekend is all about fun, gratitude, and making a difference.
Whether you’re here to enjoy live music, indulge in delicious food, or dive into thrilling outdoor adventures, your participation supports a cause that matters. We are a proud supporter of Wounded Warrior Project, and have chosen August 31st as a day to benefit this organization, making this the perfect way to spend your long weekend while giving back to the community.
Event Highlights:
Saturday, August 31st – A Day of Live Music
Kick off the weekend with an incredible lineup of live music hosted at Rafting in the Smokies that will have you dancing all day and into the night! Here’s what’s in store:
- 1:00-3:00pm: Kicking off our music lineup is Jamie & Guitar, who is known in the Greater Knoxville, TN area for his exciting live performances & lessons!
- 3:30-5:30pm: Enjoy the smooth sounds of Roy Saunders from Knoxville. His unique blend of country and rock will set the perfect vibe for the afternoon.
- 6:00-8:00pm: Experience The Rhythm Exchange, a high-energy 5-piece band from Knoxville, TN, performing a variety of hit pop songs that’ll keep you singing and dancing all night!
- 8:30-11:00pm: Get ready for the Zak Saltz Band from Bristol, bringing their energetic and soulful performance to the stage.
Food Options
The Sweet Toad food truck will be at Rafting in the Smokies, serving up delicious eats all day long. Stay tuned for more food options!
Rafting & Outdoor Fun
Since it’s a holiday weekend, we’re taking the celebration to the water! We are all about enjoying the great outdoors:
- Fishing: Spend the day relaxing by the water, casting a line, and reeling in memories with our expert guides on our Guided Fishing Tour. It’s the perfect way to unwind and enjoy nature.
- Kayaking: Explore the Big Pigeon River with our Inflatable Kayak Trips
- Rafting: For those looking for a bit more adventure, join us for a thrilling rafting experience! We’ll be hitting the rapids, making the weekend (including Sunday!) an action-packed day you won’t want to miss. For those who want a milder experience, we also have a Lower Pigeon trip, which is suitable for those ages three and up!

In addition to supporting Wounded Warrior Project, we are also supporting our Veterans and active military.
- Free Activities & Parking: All active military and Veterans can enjoy all activities for free, plus free parking as a small token of our appreciation.
- Family Discounts: Immediate family members receive $15 off activities and 15% off all items in our retail store (excluding photos) with ID using promo code: MILITARY15. This code is valid only for Labor Day weekend and can be booked online.
